We renovated a French Chateau not long ago, and spending time there completely changed how I feel about a home. The space was restored carefully with deep respect for its history. Walking the project brought a kind of museum quiet, the reverence one feels when surrounded by beautiful objects that have endured for centuries. (And new ones we installed!) So warm and alive.
